This course focuses on one of the early phase poems in Atharī ‘aqīdah famously known as al-Manzumah al-Haiyyah, composed by the Hanbali scholar Ibn Abi Dawud al-Sjistani (the son of the famous muhaddith Abu Dawud). The poem is widely accepted by the Hanabilah as well as scholars of the four madhhahib.
The poem will be studied through shaykh Yusuf’s own explanation, while also drawing from Lawaa°ih al-Anwar al-Saniyyah by the late phase Hanbali scholar al-Safarini. Thereby offering a solid explanation well grounded in the Hanbali-Athari tradition.
– Reading of the poem and text is in Arabic
– General translation and commentary are in English.
– Upon completion one is eligible for ijazah.
Note: monthly contribution gives access to the live lessons and its course group. Acces to previous course recordings will require an additional one-time contribution, after registration is completed.
