Pre-requisite: has studied the Lum’ah al-I’tiqād course with the Madrasah.

An important work in Hanbali aqidah authored by Shaykh Mari’ al-Karmi in which he discusses the Hanbali-Athari methodology in interpreting the names and attributes of Allah as well as the clear and ambiguous verses of the Quran. He gathers statements of the people of knowledge from different sources on the topics and adds his own comments, clarifications and critical responses. Like in other works of the Hanabilah, the book is filled with ayat and ahadith.

In the course, Shaykh Yusuf will add a further layer of commentary, opening up the meanings of statements for the students.
